Far North Dallas hotel project up for grabs

Developers who are building a Far North Dallas hotel have decided to sell the unfinished property.

Construction has been underway on the project north of Galleria Dallas since 2019.

The planned 12-story Plush Suites hotel suffered early design delays, and the structure is now partially complete. Steel work has been done for the first eight floors.

“My partner and I have decided to sell Plush this year and allow another developer to complete the project,” developer Jon Langbert said in an email.

Williams & Williams Worldwide Real Estate has scheduled a Dec. 15 auction for the partially built tower, “with the 10th floor to be completed before the auction.”

“Plans for the hotel include 295 suites, three retail spaces, full restaurant, bar, grab-and-go room with coolers, rooftop pool and deck, large fitness facility, function roof and dog run totaling over 328,000 square feet along with two floors of underground parking below the building,” according to the auctioneer. “Utilities have not yet been installed, so conversion to other uses is possible, including multi-family, condos, dorms, senior living or something new.”

Located on Noel Road, a block east of the Dallas North Tollway, the hotel project is in an area seeing widespread apartment construction.

And the Dallas-Fort Worth area is the country’s top hotel building market, with 174 new properties in the development pipeline.
