Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams takes iconic pieces into outdoor spaces

The Giselle outdoor sofa and swivel chair are two pieces from the new outdoor collection from Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams.

TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. – Home furnishings manufacturer and retailer Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams has unveiled a new outdoor upholstery collection, offering the company’s well-known and iconic pieces in outdoor fabrics and bringing its contemporary yet classic indoor designs to any outdoor space.

The  line includes coffee and dining tables, dining and lounge chairs, fire pits and complementing towels, umbrellas and pillows.

The custom pieces are assembled by hand in Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams’ factory located in Taylorsville, N.C. Including durable hardwood frames, an assortment of custom performance fabrics and water-resistant hardware, the pieces ensure durability without compromising on comfort, according to the company.

In furthering the brand’s commitment to community and sustainability, upholstered items will be available in recycled fabrics in collaboration with the Seaqual Initiative, a community on a mission to fight marine plastic pollution.

To date, the Seaqual Initiative has transformed more than 200 tons of marine litter into plastic and cleaned more than 600 tons of waste from the world’s oceans.

“From the beginning, we have been making sustainable furniture,” said Allison O’Connor, president and CEO of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams. “As a company, we believe we’re making furnishings for our planet, and with that comes a great deal of responsibility. Being environmentally conscious defines who Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams is.”

Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams owns and operates 30 retail stores and a manufacturing and 1-million-square-foot distribution center in North Carolina to support the brand’s retail, wholesale, office, contract and hospitality sectors.
