See the most expensive home for sale in each of Oregon’s 36 counties

Thinking about moving in the New Year? Before you pack up your pots and pans, see what you can buy at the median sale price, which varies widely across Oregon. Portland homes can cost 2.5 times those in Baker County at the Idaho state line.

If you’re dreaming big, here’s a look at the most expensive residential properties for sale, from coastal settings to rural acreage, in each of Oregon’s 36 counties. Several inns, cottage clusters and wineries are marketed as offering housing for multi-generations.

Often, the highest listing is a farm or ranch, and real estate agents explain that the asking price is based on business opportunities, including dividing some of the land.

The median sale price for each county, as reported in the last 30 days by the real estate database Redfin, is the point in the middle in which half of the properties sold at a higher price and the other half at a lower price.
