$13 million St. Pete mansion breaks Snell Isle sales record

An 8,234-square-foot mansion on Snell Isle in St. Petersburg sold for a record-breaking $13 million last week.

The sale has not yet been recorded by the Pinellas County Property Appraiser. But the price would make it the most expensive home ever sold in the 33704 ZIP code, according to county records. The next most-expensive home sold for $9 million in 2011.

The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom waterfront home at 1761 Brightwaters Blvd. NE was built earlier this year by George and Jamie Lutich of St. Petersburg. Carol Fasick Joyce and Alexis Logan from Coldwell Banker represented the couple in the sale.

“It’s the design, it’s the location, it’s the quality of the construction as well as the finishes that we believe sets this house apart from others and why it went for such a high amount,” Logan said.

Floor-to-ceiling windows, stone countertops and a floating staircase give the home a modern feel.

There is an in-law suite with a kitchenette, an entertainment room with a pool table, a bar, a theater and a balcony with views of the bay and the St. Petersburg skyline. In the backyard you’ll find a pool, a spa, an outdoor kitchen and a private dock complete with a boat lift.
