Hamlin Plantation waterfront home fetches $4M

A marshfront residence fetched the highest recorded price ever for a community in northern Mount Pleasant, according to a Charleston-based real estate firm.

The 6,113-square-foot home at 4915 Sound View Drive in Hamlin Plantation sold in November for $4.075 million, according to The Cassina Group, which represented the seller.

The new owners of the custom-built home are Robert and Janice Olshever, according to Charleston County land records.

The two-story house features five bedrooms and 4½ bathrooms as well as a saltwater infinity pool and spa. The waterfront home includes a panoramic view along the Intracoastal Waterway.

The property went under contract quickly, after being on the market for just seven days, according to Cassina group founding partner Robertson Allen, who represented the seller.
