Jonah Hill Sells Malibu Beach House for $11.1 Million

Actor Jonah Hill has unloaded a Malibu, California, beach house for $11.1 million after less than two years as its owner. 

Mr. Hill bought the four-bedroom, four-bathroom abode in March 2021 for $9 million through a limited liability company linked to his father, an accountant, according to records with PropertyShark. 

The “Moneyball” (2011) and “The Wolf of Wall Street” (2013) actor listed the house in September for nearly $14 million, records show. 

The home is in the celebrity-favored Malibu Colony enclave, according to the listing with Justin Feil and Christopher Feil of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California. They did not immediately return a request for comment. 

“Located within the most sought after, exclusive guard-gated community in Malibu, this spacious contemporary home with coveted private beach key access allows for easy coastal living,” the listing said. 

Indeed, the home has access to the beach and a roof deck that overlooks the water, listing photos show. The facade, which was white when Mr. Hill purchased the home, is now black, making the blue of the pool and spa in the backyard pop. 

The interiors are fresh and open, with a double-height living room with French doors and an upper-level gallery. In contrast to the bright living area, the adjacent chef’s kitchen and dining area are dark and cozy, with black cabinetry and a sidebar. The space has glass pocket doors that open to the backyard, which has an outdoor kitchen and, in addition to the pool and spa, a sauna and an ice bath. 

Upstairs, the main bedroom suite offers a private deck and fireplace, plus a bathroom with a custom oversized shower, a soaking tub and a sauna. 

Mr. Hill, who is set to turn 39 next week, recently directed “Stutz” about his therapy sessions with Dr. Phil Stutz. He also starred in “You People” with Eddie Murphy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Lauren London and Nia Long, which is coming to Netflix next year.  

Representatives for the actor did not immediately return a request for comment.
