The Indian athlete’s ban will take effect on March 29, 2022, according to an Athletics Integrity Unity (AIU) statement. Kaur, 26, rose to prominence after finishing sixth in the Tokyo Olympics and becoming the first Indian woman to break the 65-meter barrier, but she was temporarily suspended after testing positive for Stanozolol, a banned anabolic steroid, in May 2022.

Railways asked to file status report on quality of water supplied to passengers
The Delhi High Court on Wednesday asked the Indian Railways to file a fresh status report in a matter relating to alleged supply of contaminated drinking water to passengers and manipulation in the award of contracts for setting up chlorination plants. A bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramonium Prasad was informed by the petitioner’s counsel that the last status report was filed by Railways in October 2019.
