Bhagwant Mann allots districts to Cabinet ministers : The Tribune India

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today allotted districts to Cabinet Ministers to ensure smooth implementation of government programmes and welfare schemes.

The ministers will be overseeing the development of the districts allotted to them, besides ensuring benefits that welfare schemes reached the people.

Finance Minister Harpal Cheema will be the in-charge of Patiala district, while Higher Education Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer will be the in-charge of Amritsar and Tarn Taran districts. Social Security Minister Dr Baljeet Kaur will oversee Bathinda and Mansa, whereas PWD Minister Harbhajan Singh will be the in-charge of Ferozepur and Moga.

Food and Civil Supplies Minister Lal Chand has been allotted Ludhiana district, Rural Development Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal has been given the charge of Gurdaspur and Pathankot districts.

Transport Minister Laljeet Singh Bhullar will be the in-charge of Sangur.

Ropar and Mohali districts have been allotted to Revenue Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa, Hoshiarpur to Jails Minister Harjot Singh Bains, and Fatehgarh Sahib and Muktsar to Housing and Urban Development Minister Aman Arora.

Jalandhar district has been given to Local Government Minister Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar, and Faridkot and Fazilka to Defence Services Minister Fauja Singh.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra will be the in-charge of Malerkotla and Barnala, while Tourism Minister Anmol Gagan Maan will oversee Nawanshahr.
