The home was custom built for the owners by Cole & Co., and it was designed by SHM Architects. Detwiler said that the homeowners included design elements that had personal meaning, like the mahogany front door which was designed to incorporate the Kanji character meaning “king.”

The home has large, light-filled living spaces including the library, dining room, den, kitchen and breakfast room. The den has a fireplace and built-in shelves and a wall of windows and French doors that provide views of the patio and backyard. The den is open to the kitchen and the breakfast room.

In the kitchen, there’s ample cabinet space, a large island with seating and a nearby breakfast area with a colorful light fixture above the table. The home also has a media room, a utility room and two half-bathrooms on the first level.

The primary suite is the only bedroom on the first level of the home, and it has large, floor-to-ceiling windows and a fireplace. The primary bathroom has two water closets, two walk-in closets and a separate bathtub and shower. Three bedrooms are located on the second level of the home, each with en suite bathrooms. There’s also a playroom on the second level of the home.

The home is listed for $7,995,000.
