Japanese PM Fumio Kishida Arrives In Delhi On A Two-Day Visit

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government will form its Cabinet on Saturday, sources told ABP News.

As per the reports, Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit will administer the oath to the ministers joining the Aam Aadmi Party-led Cabinet.

The Punjab Cabinet expansion ceremony to induct the ministers will be held tomorrow at around 11 am in Chandigarh, news agency ANI reported.

The first meeting of the Punjab Cabinet will also be held tomorrow at 12.30 pm.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has arrived in Jammu for a two-day visit to the Union Territory. He will be presiding as a Chief Guest in the 83rd Raising Day programme of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Jammu today. 

This will be the first time when the CRPF Raising Day will be celebrated outside the national capital. 

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to visit Jammu and Kashmir, the first time after the abrogation of Article 370, on April 24 on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Day, sources told ABP News.  

Amidst the rising tension between Ukraine and Russia, the Chinese President Xi Jinping in a video call with US President Joe Biden on Friday said that conflicts between states are ‘in no-one’s interest,’ news agency AFP reported.

He said that China and US should ‘shoulder international responsibilities’ for peace, and further declared that “peace and security are the most valued treasures of the international community.”

Over the leadership crisis, Congress president Sonia Gandhi met senior party leader Ghulam Nabi Azad at her official 10, Janpath residence in the national capital on Friday.

“Working Committee was asked for suggestions on the reasons for defeat in five states,” said Azad after the meeting, ANI reported.

“The discussion was held to fight unitedly in the forthcoming assembly elections to defeat the opposition parties,” he added.
