Nascar’s Tony Stewart Puts Indiana Home on the Market for $30 Million, Making it the State’s Priciest Listing

Former Nascar driver Tony Stewart is listing his ranch in Indiana for $30 million, making it the most expensive home listing in the state.

The roughly 415-acre ranch, called Hidden Hollow, is located about an hour from Indianapolis, in a rural area on the outskirts of Mr. Stewart’s hometown of Columbus, Ind., according to listing agent Carrie Holle of Compass. In the early 2000s, Mr. Stewart combined several parcels to create the ranch and began building the structures on it in 2009, she said. The property was completed in 2011 and is the most expensive on the market in Indiana, according to Zillow.

Mr. Stewart wasn’t available for comment. Hidden Hollow was his main residence for over a decade, according to Ms. Holle, who said he has also used the property for hunting. She said he is selling because he travels a lot and isn’t able to spend much time there.

His home on the ranch is a roughly 20,000-square-foot, six-bedroom house with a stream at its entrance. A bridge connects the entryway to the great room, where an 8,700-gallon aquarium is home to fish including largemouth bass, bluegill, carp, perch and crappie. The lower level of the home has a golf simulator room, a two-lane bowling alley, and lighted onyx bar.

In addition to the main house, a four-bedroom guesthouse measuring roughly 3,500 square feet is used by ranch staff, according to Ms. Holle. Another building on the property serves as a workshop, she said.

Comparable properties to Hidden Hollow are rare, said Ms. Holle, because its size and features are unique in the area. A home on roughly 152 acres in Indianapolis was listed for $14 million in January and is currently pending, she said.

Mr. Stewart, now 50, was inducted into the Nascar Hall of Fame in 2020, according to the Nascar website, and competed as a professional driver from 1996 to 2016. He won three Nascar Cup Series championships in his career. Today he co-owns the Stewart-Haas Racing team.
