Jerry Seinfeld sells 11-bedroom, 13-bathroom ski chalet on 26 acres in Colorado for $14 million

Jerry Seinfeld has sold his sprawling Telluride, Colorado mountain retreat for $14 million after snagging it for just $7.55 million in 2007.

The sale came more than 10 years after he first tried to offload the property for $18.25 million in 2011 after extensive renovations.

This time around, the 67-year-old actor and his wife, Jessica Seinfeld, 50, first asked for $14.95 million for the 12,260-square-foot ranch-style property that sits on 27 acres and has 11 bedrooms, 11 full bathrooms and two half baths.

The deal closed last month for $14 million, according to Realtor.com.

The home features a vaulted great room with a stone-surround fireplace, an updated kitchen with wood counters, and multiple dining spots.  The property also boasts a gym, a yoga studio and a four-car garage and also includes a creek and a private hiking trail system.

Much of the couple’s furnishings will be included in the sale.

The Seinfelds also listed a four-bedroom guest house, which sits on a separate 17-acre parcel, for $2.775 million last year, though it is unclear if the guest house has also sold.

The Seinfelds bought the main house – built in 1991 – in 2007 for $7.55 million.

A year later, they purchased the guest house for $2.3 million, which they’ve reportedly been using as a caretaker’s cottage, according to the listing agent.

Now that their children are older and the real estate market in Colorado is hot, the couple decided it’s the right time to sell the vacation home.

Listing agent Bill Fandel of Compass told WSJ.com last year: ‘Recognizing the strong demand for properties, they felt this was a good time.’

Designed to resemble a series of connected Western ranch structures, the property is drenched in light thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows in many of the rooms giving stunning mountain views.

Fandel explained that Telluride is seeing bidding wars and record-breaking prices.

Tom Cruise listed his nearby home for $39.5 million last year, and director Barry Sonnenfeld closed on the sale of his $13 million property in the same area as the Seinfelds.

Jerry and Jessica’s main home is an apartment overlooking Central Park on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. They also have a sprawling waterfront mansion in the Hamptons, which they purchased for $32 million from Billy Joel in 2000.
