Former Trump administration SBA chief McMahon endorses Huff Brown

Linda McMahon, who served as administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration under former President Donald Trump, on Monday is endorsing Republican Gail Huff Brown for New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District U.S. House seat.McMahon is a co-founder — along with her husband, Vince McMahon — of the WWE, a worldwide wrestling and entertainment organization. She stepped down as CEO of WWE in 2009 and made two unsuccessful runs for the U.S. Senate from Connecticut before being named SBA administrator, a Cabinet-level position, by Trump. She was confirmed to the post by the U.S. Senate by a vote of 81-19.McMahon left the SBA in 2019 to chair the pro-Trump Super PAC America First Action.Huff Brown’s campaign said McMahon and Huff Brown got to know each other through their involvement in the Trump administration. Huff Brown served as a diplomatic spouse during the more than three years her husband, former U.S. Sen. Scott Brown, served as Trump’s ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa.During that time, Gail Huff Brown served as president of the Diplomatic Spouses Association.The endorsement comes as Huff Brown prepares to spend the upcoming week focusing on “her pro-business agenda and resolve to work hard to make our economy great again,” her campaign said.McMahon said in a statement shared by the Huff Brown campaign first with New Hampshire Primary Source:“With Gail, New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District is in good hands.
