Sandra Bullock’s 91-Acre Avocado Farm in California Sells for $5.6 Million

Actress Sandra Bullock has sold her home and avocado farm in Valley Center, California, for $5.6 million.

The 91-acre property, located about 40 miles northeast of San Diego, was listed for $6 million in September and went into contract in just three weeks. It closed in early November for $5.6 million, listing records show.

The buyer used a limited liability company to complete the transaction, per the deed filed with the country clerk on Nov. 9.

The property has a 5,938-square-foot main residence and about 1,200 organic avocado trees, according to the listing with Alan Long of Avenue 8, Melissa Russell of Willis Allen Real Estate and Kay O’Hara of HomeSmart Realty West.

A single-story adobe ranch, the main residence has four bedrooms and six bathrooms and features fireplaces, security cameras and Crestron smart home system. Numerous French doors open “out to verandas and yards with the most beautiful pastoral mountain views,” Mr. Long previously told Mansion Global.

There is also a three-bedroom, two-bathroom manufactured house on the property, the listing said.

The sprawling property has a saltwater pool with a spa, solar and electric charging stations, a backup generator and RV hookups. The grounds are landscaped with floral gardens, eucalyptus, palm and olive trees and fountains. There’s also space for additional houses and a vineyard, green houses, equestrian facilities or a motocross off-roading tract, according to the listing.

Ms. Bullock bought the property in 2007 for $2.725 million via a trust, property records show. The 58-year-old actress is best known for her starring roles in such films as “Speed” (1994), “Miss Congeniality” (2000) and “The Blind Side” (2009), for which she won an Academy Award. Her most recent hit, “The Lost City,” was released in March.

Reps for Ms. Bullock did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Listing agents declined to comment on the sale, which was first reported by the San Diego Union-Tribune.
