Producer Joel Silver’s Los Angeles Megamansion Lists for $75 Million

Hollywood producer Joel Silver relisted his Los Angeles megamansion Thursday for $75 million.

Located in the gated Brentwood Circle neighborhood, the 25,000-square-foot hacienda-style residence was designed by the late Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta, according to the listing with Branden and Rayni Williams of Williams & Williams at The Beverly Hills Estates and Jade Mills at Coldwell Banker.

“This architectural masterpiece by Ricardo Legorreta offers true paradise with seamless indoor-outdoor living throughout,” Ms. Williams said in the listing.

The home was built for Mr. Silver, 69, who produced film franchises such as “Die Hard,” “The Matrix” and “Lethal Weapon.” He and his wife, Karyn, bought the underlying property in 1988 for $3.3 million, according to records with PropertyShark.

They first listed the home in October 2019 for $77.5 million, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Sitting on about 4.5 acres, the rust-colored residence was completed in 2003, The Wall Street Journal reported. Construction took about five years and most of the materials were imported from Mexico.

It features a double-height atrium entrance with limestone floors imported from the Yucatán and a retractable skylight, a dining room with a pyramid-shaped ceiling, a library and a screening room that seats about 20 people, according to the listing. In true California style, the living and dining areas open to the outdoors, which has several covered and uncovered terraces.

There are eight bedrooms, including two suites with dens, walk-in closets and marble bathrooms. There’s also an eat-in kitchen, an office, a game room and a sauna.

Outside, there’s a reflection pool with travertine columns, manicured lawns, a pool and spa, a basketball court and an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven. The home is surrounded by gardens and mature palm trees, listing photos show.

Representatives for Mr. Silver did not immediately return requests for comment.
